Come Mozy With Me

For those who know me you know that I always have my camera with me. Over the years I have over 10,000 pictures on my computer along with many valuable documents. I am pleased to announce that Heart of The Home is now affliated with Mozy.

This is a wonderful program that I could not live without. It is a backup system that cost less than a Starbucks Grande a month. If for some reason your computer crashes Mozy will send you all the information with a very quick turn-around.

Target's $1 bin rocks!

We had to go to Target to get some presents and naturally I had to go see the dollar section. They have the greatest items right now, including wire baskets, which I can't get enough of. I love baskets, any type and size and my creative juices flow. It's amazing what you can do with these treasures. Next to the baskets they had colorful mini dustpans with brooms. You may be asking yourself why on earth is she excited about that, well here's why. I bought one for each kid to put in their rooms. When they are done playing with all the toys with the tiny pieces like Legos, Polly Pockets, they can now just "sweep" up the mess. My kids LOVE doing this, strange I know.

The Family Manager System: Why it Helps

As I am sitting in the school carpool lane I started thinking about the benefits of the Family Manager System, here are just a few:

1. It creates order out of chaos: as moms if we are stressed and chaotic what are we doing to our families.

2. Spend less time on the have to's; have more time for the want to's. Enough said.

3. Make selective decisions when you are overloaded with options.

4. Establish and stick to priorities.

5. Stay motivated.

6. Plan memorable events and occasions that strengthen family ties.

7. Keep the end goal in mind.

These tips are taken from Kathy Peel, creator of the Family Manager System.
